Bread making in Nursery
Today we had a lot of fun baking our own bread. We used the measuring scales to weigh the flour and we counted the spoonfuls of salt, yeast and oil.
The dough was very sticky at first so we added a bit more flour. We patted the dough, rolled it out, shaped it, poked it and spent a long time kneading it.
We let the dough rise for a while then we started again with the kneading.
When the bread was baked and had cooled down, we all practised spreading butter on our slice of bread.
And then we tasted our fabulous bread... Everybody thought it was amazingly delicious.
Next week: cheese scones. We like a challenge in Nursery :)
